Week 2 : Basic Concept of Webpage

This second week we go through the lectures about Basic Concept of Webpage. For the first time, Dr. Dayana had entering this class and taught us about this topic. By the way, she had explained more about assignments and evaluation that should be done by us before the lecture start.

From the explanation, we should have form some group to do the web project for the group assignment. The task for the web project should contain the following aspects;

1)Website should have learning theories & learning strategies.
2)Appropriate website suitable with target audience.
3)Must do the proposal first before developing website and must be approved
4)Do the evaluation (Formative & Summative);    
   (i) Formative Evaluation (Alpha Testing) is a continuous testing which conducted before the            website published. This test will involve expertise such as content and multimedia expert.        (ii)Summative Evaluation (Beta Testing) is conducted at the end of the development. This             test will involve real user.
5)Format hardcopy of assignment;     
   (i)Black Tape Binding      
   (ii)Blue Coverpage

Then,the lecture about Basic Concept of Webpage begin with introduction to the topic which is we learnt about what is website, web page, homepage, CMS, LMS, portal and blog.

After that,we had learnt about the several types of websites. Usually, users tend to view websites by the function of the site or by its visual appearance. The types of website that usually created includes informational sites, transactional sites, community sites, entertainment sites,other sites and also based upon the organization such as commercial, government, educational, charitable, and personal. Sometimes,we look for websites that contains visual groupings such as text oriented, GUI Style, metaphorical and lastly experimental.



At the end of the class, we have a discussion about this;                        
1.Personal web development using web authoring software vs CMS vs blog?        
2.Educational web development using web authoring software vs LMS vs blog?


However, in this week I did not attend this class because I was in car workshop on that time. Sorry to all :(
